Second, China has a large population and densely populated areas. Air pollution in large cities is difficult to completely solve with traditional energy technologies. In terms of new energy vehicles, the country began to support the research and development of electric vehicles in 2001. After three five-year plans, it also promoted and applied to the market through multi-sector cooperation, especially the participation of enterprises as the main body, and mobilizing the whole society to build charging facilities. Last year, production and sales reached 770,000 units, and in 2018 it will reach 1 million units.

According to the new energy vehicle development plan promulgated by the State Council, by 2020, the annual output of new energy vehicles will reach 2 million units, which means that by 2020, it will double again on the basis of 2018.
