Since April this year, the Ministry of Environmental Protection has transferred 5,600 first-line environmental law enforcement personnel from the national environmental protection system to carry out a one-year intensive monitoring of air pollution prevention and control on the “2+26” city on the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei air pollution transmission channel. "Corporate remediation is one of the key points of strengthening supervision. This is the largest law enforcement action directly organized by the Ministry of Environmental Protection.

In order to maintain the high pressure of law enforcement supervision, we strengthened the supervision system for the first time in the field of environmental protection. The problems discovered by the inspections were handed over to the local government on the same day, and the local governments were urged to establish account accounts according to law, and the sales numbers were rectified one by one to ensure that the pieces were implemented. Up to now, “2+26” cities have investigated more than 62,000 enterprises involved in “disorganized pollution” and clusters.

Since the intensification of the supervision, the “2+26” city in the first quarter of the PM2.5 increased by 12.5% ​​in the severe situation, the deterioration of air quality has been completely reversed. From April 1st to November 15th, PM2.5 of “2+26” city decreased by 6.5% year-on-year. Beijing PM2.5 concentration was lower than 60μg/m3 for 7 consecutive months, reaching the best level in history.

The main leaders of the government in Dongli District of Tianjin and Hengshui City of Hebei Province were openly interviewed due to ineffective rectification, and environmental protection pressures were transmitted at different levels, breaking the ideological barriers that local governments did not dare to investigate, unwilling to investigate, and did not want to investigate.
